is my cat strange
My cat Lumpy let's me rub her belly without attacking me. I can tell her to "show me your belly" and she will roll over on her back. My friends think there is something wrong with my cat because this is not normal. Is there something wrong with my pal or is she just a very loving cat?

It is indeed strange that your cat let you rub her belly and not make an attack on you. Because most cats wont allow anyone to touch theirbelly and when some one tries to do it, it triggers a reflexive defense action which can hurt the person. A cat exposes his belly when he feels it is safe for him but even then he wont allow anyone to touch his belly. I got a personal experience on this with my cat. Couple of months back when I used the services of a cat sitter nearby, I accidentally touched his belly when trying to handover him to the person. Immediately he responded by scratching my hand. But that was just a reflex reaction as he never again tried to harm me. I studied about it a little and found that belly is an area cats keep very personal. So I really think you should check her with a vet and make sure she is not trying to convey you about some discomfort she is having.
