I use to coat Brooklyn's pills in peanut butter before I gave them to her. The kids also use to give her a spoonful of it for 20 minutes of entertainment, but I just read an article about how bad it can be for your dog and can cause allergies. There are also a lot of treats out there that are peanut butter so I would be careful of those too. I haven't heard this before and just thought some of you might be as interested as me. My Goldie does love Peanut Butter. Occasionally i do feed him with it. But again that depends upon the dog breed.
Yes you can give your dog peanut butter as it contains proteins, vitamins and high quality fat which are useful and healthy for your dog.Its creamy spread provides lot of energy to the dogs. But you must feed your dog peanut butter as a treat only, because most peanut butter contains Aflatoxins which can cause cancer in dogs and also it contains some harmful fats and sugar which is not good for your dog. So feed your dog peanutbutter occasionally and in little amount.
