what is my dog telling me

I have a 10 month old Boxer mix who sits on my older Lab's head. She folds one leg under her with her bottom on the head of the Lab. Is this for dominance or is she quirky

I hope its quirky because my black lab loves to sit on my head.  This actually the only other time I have heard about this type of behavior.  When I am laying in bed, or on the couch, my boy like to be in a position where he can sit on my head.

Maybe its just your dogs way of being affectionate.

That action alone would not indicate dominance.  Not allowing the other dog to escape; repeatedly doing the same action in a single session; some other form of asserting itself.  These are things that I would think would be more indicative of dominance.  This may just be playing or affection or something along those lines.
