Is my dog having seizures?

I have a red heeler (australian cattle dog). He's about a year and a half old. Since this past fall, we have seen him several times lose coordination in his back legs. At first he will just slow down then we see him try to walk but then back up and sit. It only lasts a few minutes but it's extremely upsetting. Is this a seizure or nerve damage?

How sad!  Does it seem like he is in pain, or is it more about loss of coordination?

I'm no vet, but it doesn't sound like a seizure.  From what I can tell about seizures, it is more of a full body phenomenon and there is a loss of consciousness while it is happening.

I would speak with your vet about what is going on and see if he/she has any input.

Good luck!
