Dog digging holes
We have a 12 month old Yellow Lab that loves to dig huge holes. We have tried , filling the holes with his poop, sprinkling red pepper, doesn't stop him. Any one know any other tricks?

Sometimes a dog will dig because they are bored. Have you tried giving him a toy to keep his mind distracted? If that does not work, you might want to try some form of obedience training. My boy Piglet used to dig, and to help stop his behavior I bought a shock collar (I talked with a trainer about using the collar appropriately, which is something I would highly recommend because it can cause problems if used incorrectly). I kept a watchful eye on him when he went outside, and if I saw him digging I would zap him. Keep in mind this may not sound humane, but in a dogs mind, he will associate digging with discomfort. Needless to say, it worked. Hope this does not offended anyone, there are probably other things you can do too. This is just something that worked for me.
