My husband bought me a cute little Pomeranian for my birthday this year. Although I love dogs a lot, this is first time I own a dog. I don't know first thing about training a dog. How long will it take to train him then basic things. We tried to walk him. But he is reluctant to do so at times. This can be a problem since we both go to job every weekdays some time in future we may need to use some dog walking service. I am worried if he is not walking any health issues may occur.

My 3 year old shih tzu has a sensitive back when touched. My vet said she may have ivdd, disc disease. Can anyone give me some insight on this? I was told to keep her in a small pen or crate for 2 weeks and she us on pain medications. I am overwhelmed with this possible diagnosis, the unknown us driving me crazy. My little girl is also having a tough time be confined without her freedom to roam. And advice would be appreciated.

Hello! please watch this video of my diving dog, pretty amazing!

  • 1. i have a pit bull hes very nice with no training .
  • the reason there is so much in the pound is because people don't give them a chance .  thats why there so many in the pound, shelter, and even dead!
  • the reason they get mean is cuz' people are mean to them.

people who like ,love or have pitbulls support them.

I always like to ask people what their favorite breed of dog is.  There are some many different types, and whenever I ask this question I always learn about new and interesting breeds that I had never heard of before.  Anyway, I would love to hear what everyone here thinks is their favorite breed of dog.

P.S. Mine is a Beagle

Hi everyone :) I am new to this site. My two year old lab mix mocha and I just moved to buffalo from florida. We don't have a fenced in back yard like back at home but the first couple weeks she went potty on the leash just fine. Now for the past three weeks she has been pooping and peeing in our guest bedroom. Mocha is not crate trained she has severe separation anxiety and rips all her toenails off. I don't know why she all of a sudden started going in the guest bedroom. I welcome any suggestions you guys have for me. We are looking for a professional trainer but I just got a new job and I need to wait a little before I can afford a trainer.

This is my dog hazel and ever since we got her we have wondered what she is. Many people say she is a pit but we don't think she is. As you can see she has huge ears that stand up. She has six toes on her back feet and her fur is medium length and it's not very heavy or coarse almost like a lab. Her temperament is submissive and sweet. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them. Thank you!

I am a proud owner of 5 pitbulls ! Trouble(dad) Mimi(mom) frankie(son) Emma(daughter) and Julez(daughter) , My babies seem to get along most of the time but every now and then they will fight , and its a bit scarey i am able to break them up and everything seems to be fine but this past week while i was trying to break up the two baby girls one of them bit me i know it was not intentional and i did not have to go to the hospital. It just seems to happen for no reason either because on is getting more attention them the other or because one wants to go out before the other. I know they are a pack and from what i understand they have a pecking order but i could still use some help will this get worse as they get older ? please help!!
