I've recently been given a puppy and was told the mother's breed is Guardian.  Is there such a thing or has the owner just made something up?

my mom's cat goes to the bathroom all over the house when it is extremely hot in the summer. but more than that, it will regularly deficate outside of the litter box. any ideas? this is an older cat, and was not a problem until her twilight years.

I'm reading many of the articles online as far as what to do if you have cat fighting - aggression with cats. My Cat (Lacey) is about 4 years old and my kitten in about 6 months old. My kitten (Emmy) is the one who is attacking the older cat. I have used seperation and a squirt bottle. None of which seems to work. I let the kitten out of the bedroom after a time out and she goes right back to attacking Lacey. The spray bottle does not really work at all. The one thing I have not done yet is spay the kitten. I'm hoping that will have a positive result but beings the behavior has already developed, I'm wondering if this will really help. I'm wondering if catnip will help and if so is it safe the give to the kitten. I'm open to just about any other suggestions.

I have a black labrador, and as many people know, the labrador lives and dies by his next meal.  What I am looking for is help on how to train him not to eat everything.  I live in a city and as you can imagine having a dog that thinks every thing on the ground is food, can not only be frusterating, but also scary when he eats some disgusting things that one could find on the street.   Can anyone help let me know if there is a goog trainning method I can try?

Has anyone heard of a dog that never barks?  I am concerned he might be mute, and was wondering if there was a type of test out there to prove if he is just really quiet or actually mute?

Does anyone have any training trips on stopping my dog from thinking chasing is a game vs. something that drives me crazy?

Hi foster parents:

I got my first "official" foster dog, just 3 days ago, a 12 year old doxie.  I have 3 of my own and do not want a 4th,  permanantly, just want to help out until she gets a home.  Question is, how do you handling  the falling in love part.  She is so beautiful, loving, well mannered and is clinging to me.  I hate it that she will have to feel abandoned again.  Please dont advise that I keep her, I'm on a very limited income and cant afford vet bills.  Please share your experiences and how you handled the bond that occurs immediately.

My cat is used to going outdoors in the summer, but turns into an indoor cat in the winter. She doesn't tend to play a lot. Any ideas on how to get her more exercise in the winter months?

Hi,
Is there such a list of dog breeds that always need to have a
c-section every time they give birth? I know there is a few breeds
that have to have c-sections because of the size of the pups, like
bulldogs! That is all I can think of right now.
I was just wondering?
Thanks,Sandtoes
