In Dogs

Hey everyone, this winter I got such a bad case of cabin fever, and now that its sunny and warm outside I just feel like dancing!  What does eveyone think of my moves, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqbVbPvlDoM?

I was wondering what my dog is trying to tell me or say everytime he gets excited he will bring things (shoes, socks, anything close to him) in his mouth to me or my husband. Also he will lick my husbands feet alot what is he trying to say to us?

My dog is the first dog I've ever owned. There have been a couple of times where he has developed an infection in his ear(s) that I think may have been caused by water getting in his ears during baths. What's the best way to deal with water in the ears of  dogs? Is there a method of washing his head that minimizes the chance of getting water in his ears?

My poor little baby keeps getting matted hair. I try keeping her brushed on a regular bases, but it seems her hair keeps getting matted. Would shaving her hair be a safe solution? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Hi everyone!

I got a new kitten last Thursday (Feb. 12th). I named Moe...Moe is just 6 weeks old.. I did show him where is the litter box...I am trying to encourage him go to the litter box by himself...but he didn't...So, I carry him to the litter box and tell him that "you go bathroom"... However, he peed on floor under desk - corner....third times...I don't get it...I tried to show him to the litter box...So, I changed litter- fresh litter...When he peed on the floor and I cleaned with paper towel and show him...I washed with vinegar and water on the floor... He seems still can't go to the litter box by himself because I have to carry him to the litter box...I am so frustrated and a little upset..I know I can't blame on him because he is just baby... Any idea??? PLEASE HELP ME!!

Maybe someone could help me out here...My german shepherd puppy just turned 5 months old. She lives with me and my boyfriend and was fine until about a month ago. We were at the dog park and this lady walked past to get her dog, and my pup jumped up and nipped her hand.she was okay, but it took me off guard, because she had never shown aggressivness before. when my boyfriend was alone with her, him and even his cousin would play with her in the yard & she was fine and really liked them just as well as she did me. In the past few weeks, whenever im around my boyfriend, she wont come near him and growls, but alone with him she was fine? Yesterday night, he let her out to use the bathroom. He was trying to get her back into the house ( which really doesnt enjoy and runs because she LOVES being outside ) so he was calling her name with no avail so he went to pick her up ( like he usually does ) and out of nowhere grabbed onto his wrist and arm and wouldnt let go, needless to say she hurt his hand and arm. We've taken her to obedience school and in public almost every single day to socialize her .I have owned many dogs, from chihuahuas to border collies to pitbulls, and they've never suddenly did a 360 like this, so im not sure what to do? I LOVE my dog, she is extrememly loving and loyal, but im so worried.shes UTD on all her shots and just got back from the vet at the beginning of Feb and everything was in great condition! PLEASE and advice or personal experiences would be so helpful!

Hi all, I just have to say that I looked through the cat breeds on this site and first of all I didn't know there were so many distinct breeds.  I also LOVED some of the pictures.  The one of the Scottish Fold with his head on the table is hilarious!

I woke up this morning and noticed that my dogs eye was all yucky and had green bugers around his right eye. Is there anything I can do other than taking him to the vet? Times are a little tuff right now, so every dollar saved helps out.

Does anyone know of a good snack I can give my dogs?  I have tried all sorts of things like rawhide, bones, treats.  But I wanted to see if there was anything else that i could give them that would be more special.  Any thoughts:?

One of my most recent females was spayed 4 weeks ago . Up until then she was always a loving cat ,she has recently started to attack one other female in particular .. They have been house mates for 8 months and always got along well . Now she stalks her and attacks till the fur is flying ! I don't understand why ??? Has she become aggresive from the spaying ? Why is it only the 1 cat ,another female , since she has 8 other brothers and sisters .. I'm calling Vet tomorrow to see what I can do ... The cat she is attacking has lived here for 4 yrs ... I DO NOT WANT to have to let the younger one go to another home . But she has all other 9 cats in an uproar ... Any advice ?  Thanks, Ethel
