My 4year old cat died so suddenly...

I am so sorry for your loss. The exact same thing happened last night to us. Our cat Snickers is only 4 years old. Perfect health, ate normal, played, visited me at my computer desk where I work from home. He likes to get in my way by walking in front of the keybaord once a day. Always sits on the edge of the desk. He was sleeping in his usual spot, seemed like fell off the chair and went into what I thought was a seizure. I rushed him to the vets, it was no more than 10 minutes from when he fell to getting to the vets and he was gone. I am so heartbroken. The vet said it was most likely a heart condition. Hard not knowing. Unreal how many people have posted a similar occurence with their seemingly perfectly healthy cat. It was so sudden. I am just glad it was very quick without pain. Worried my other female cat, who acted like his mother will be ok, already have seen a change in her schedule to eat. I agree it is very difficult not knowing.
I am grateful to posts that explain it to be most likely a heart condition that I could have done nothing about. Takes away some guilt and what if.. feelings.
Prayers to all who have lost their beloved kitty so suddenly, it hurts a lot.
This exact thing happened to me on Saturday. My boy was 4. He came home and was lying there, foaming at the mouth. My husband tried to get him to the vet but he’d gone before he got there. I’m devastated and struggling to come to terms with it. I’m sorry for your loss.
Hi, I feel your pain. This also happwned to us. Our 4yr old, affectionate, gentle boy, seemingly healthy died suddenly on Valentines Day. He has been gone about a month now and I still cry for him every day. We found him on his side after a relatively normal day. I tried desperatly to resuscitate him while my husband rushed to the vet. But I knew he was gone. He was my love and joy, I called him my baby. The vet said whatever it was it was quick and he had no external injuries. All I can think was he had a scare earlier in the day when the kitchen exhaust cover dropped from the ceiling. He was a normal ginger boy, up to date with vaccinations etc. We chose to bring him home without tests to find out what could have been the cause but its hard not knowing, if we could have done something to save him.
On Tuesday my 12 year old angel Sammy passed in a very similar way. I came home from work and she was her normal outgoing self, running down the stairs and jumping on the half wall for her treats. Minutes later she went to her favorite table and looked out the window as she loved that. My husband and I heard a weird meow and she stumbled from table and hit the stairs, I grabbed her immediately and saw she has saliva coming from her mouth and her pupils were huge, I literally had in my arms for less than a minute and she was limp a and gone forever. I don’t get it my vet said that she was in perfect condition and had she not known she was 12 she would have thought she was much younger. My vet concluded it was a blood clot to the heart that could never be predicted. My life will never be the same and I feel as though. I am dying inside. Here for u

I find comfort in knowing someone else understands exactly what I am going through although I hate knowing others r going through the same pain.
