The Biewer Terrier is small in size, somewhat fragile, and is not suitable for toddler or young children. The body is well proportioned and compact. The dog breed's forelegs should be straight without any bowing of either leg. The Biewer Terrier's ears are held erect and come to a point with soft silky fringes of hair falling off the sides of the ear.

Biewer Terrier Breed Standard

The Biewer Terrier's overall appearance is that of an elegant longhaired tri colored toy terrier with the hair parting down the middle and hanging straight and evenly on both sides of the dog, as though a comb had been used to part the hair from the nose to the end of the body. The back is level, with height at shoulders being equal to height of the rump.
