The English Setter, also known as the Lawerack or the Laverack, is a breed of dog in the Sporting Group. This beautiful and graceful dog breed is known for their agility, intelligence, and athletic feats, but they are also famous for their extremely sweet and gentle temperaments. The English Setter was recognized by the AKC in 1884 and AKC approved in 1986.
English Setters are energetic, people-oriented dogs, that are well suited to families who can give them attention and activity, or to a hunter who can give them a job to do. They are good around children.
