Does anyone know if poppy seeds are poisonous? My 80lb rott ate 5 buns with the poppy seeds on the top. Now, I'm worried that it's poisonous!

I'm not too sure to tell you the truth. I did a quick search on the internet and nothing came up saying that they were. If you are worried, call up your vet and ask. I'm sure they will be able to help. Maybe someone else on the board knows. Good luck!

I did a quick internet search and couldn't find anything on it either. I would call your vet to be safe. On a related note, does anyone have a link to a complete list of foods (human foods) that are toxic to dogs? It seems like every link I found had just a few foods and listed chemicals and plants.

Here is a site that has foods. These are all of the foods that I've ever heard of, I can't say that it is 100% complete. Jennifer http://www.petalia.com.au/Templates/StoryTemplate_Process.cfm?specie=Dogs&story_no=257
