Do dogs get muscle cramps?
I recently started noticing that when my dog stands up after laying down for a while, it seems that his back leg is cramped or sore. He is only 3 years old, and is probably to young for arthritis. Because he is a Labrador, I had his hips x-rayed for dysplasia, but everything seemed fine according to the vet. Could he be cramping? If so, does anyone know what I can do to help him avoid getting these cramps?
Pitbull terrier, beagle mix
I live in a 3 bedroom apartment with 3 children. We've been looking for a good apartment dog and have fallen in love with a 6 year old Pitbull terrier, beagle mix at the humane society. She seems very calm and friendly. Not agressive, and not timid. However, I've been trying to do some research. Is she an ok "apartment dog"? We have two parks near by and we'll be doing daily walks/excersize. We spent only about 20 minutes with her, and now I'm trying to figure out if our home could work for her.
I'm not sure if she will be ok being indoors for part of the day. Also, if she's not a good breed/mix to have indoors what are good ones? I don't care for the "yapper" dogs. Just something friendly, calm around kids (my kids are 9,10,15 so no real young children).
(I hope this is the one though!)

Help, My Roomate got a Yapper
My roommate just decided it was time to get a dog. I thought it was a great idea, especially since he was rescuing one. I did not realize he was going to bring home a dog that barked at everything! My ears are bleeding, how can I make/teach the dog to stop barking.
Chihuahua w/ purple belly
Recently my Chihuahua has had whats seems to be a hormonal change. I didnt breed her in her last heat but now her nipples are swollen and warm and her belly is purple. She is not pregnant (I know for a fact). She has become hyperactive, wanting to play ball all during the night and she seems restless. She also has began "hunching" toys and such. It has been atleast 6 weeks since she was in heat w/ no exposure to male dogs. Any help would be great, this dog is my heart and I am worried about her. Thanks
Help.. My dog doesn't obey my husband!
My husband and I adopted our siberian husky, Eskimo from a local dog shelter a few months ago. Eskimo was abandoned by his previous owner, but, is generally well behaved. However there is one big issue: my dog does not obey my husband. Eskimo is loyal and follows me around every where I go, but, when my husband takes him for walks alone, Eskimo tries to run away or chase cats. If I am around Eskimo will do everything my husband tells him to do. But,as soon as I leave for work the dog begins to wreak havic on the house, in the backyard, and even on my husbands clothing or personal items. We plan to take Eskimo to obediance training soon, but in the meantime does any one have any advice on how to solve this problem?
Champion breed stud (siberian husky) available for breeding!
Currently I'm networking to find a female that would make a perfect match for our siberian husky male, named Onyx. He is four and a half years old, AKC registered, father is champion of his breed in Texas. We have the pick of that champion's litter. Onyx has beautiful markings and a majestic stance. He is extremely atheletic and is a high energy, strong willed dog. For pictures by email, please send a request by email to [email protected].
Please email us if you are serious about breeding, and have a healthy pure breed AKC registered female siberian husky that is well tempered and beautiful. P.S. His breeder is completely supportive of breeding Onyx, and will help me answer any of your questions. If you look up information regarding personality/temperment tests, Onyx scored a 3 as an 8 week old puppy. Thank you for reading our posting.

Question about neutering a Yorkshire Terrier
We adopted a 1 1/2 yr. old male Yorkshire Terrier from an online community (CL) this past Friday night...We were told that he was "peeing" in the house, although paper trained. We were also told that he was not neutered and they were told that this may help.Upon bringing him inside the house, he "marked" his spots...uugghh! We do have a female Yorkshire Terrier who is 2 and spayed and he will not leave her alone...understandable...anyway, this has made for a long weekend with switching them in and out of a kennel to keep them apart. He is scheduled to be neutered first thing tomorrow (Monday) morning and the appointment cannot come soon enough for anyone in the household...We also noticed a bit of aggression with his food and/or treats toward both humans and our female (although all she did was walk past the kennel while he had a bone)...my questions are... What behaviors will neutering help us out with? Will he stop "marking" in my home? Will he relax and leave my female alone? Will the aggressive behaviors subside? We were told that we were his 4th "family" in his very short 1 1/2 yrs, so it is expected to a point, that he needs to develop a sense of trust with us. I don't want to give up on him too soon, but can't risk his biting someone or him mistreating our female...Does anyone have/had these type of issues before? And if so...what did you do???Any suggestions would be appreciated...Thank you!!He really is a sweet pup and I hate to give up on him
