I experienced sudden cat death today. The cat was 4 yrs old. Everything fine this morning but suddenly this afternoon the cat fell over cried the death scream, took 2 breaths and died. Needless to say I was in shock. I did have my vet do a necropsy today.  Wanted to share with others who had no clue like me as to what happened. The necropsy showed that Chico had pale kidneys and a pale looking heart which indicated a lack of blood flow due to multiple blood clots which resulted in a instanteous sudden heart attack,  Hope this helps others. Cat had no previous health issues.

Sweet Daisie is a very active young Blenheim Cavalier (3yrs).  Very smart but difficult to train due to very short attention span.  She has 2 canine companions @ home: Hunter, a tricolor Cavalier, very laid back, & Sheba, a 13 yr. Old Cocker plus 2 cats.  Daisies has 2 issues:  hyperexcitable around visitors, & like to go outside & bark her head off, very high pitched bark.  She is calming down as she gets older tho.

Around 160 dogs and cats arrive in Columbus as hurricane Irma closed in on Florida.  Woof Woof Hurrah!! to the organizations that donated the plane and volunteers to save these animals.

Hi, we got two cats when they were a few weeks old and they have always been very healthy. They are about two years old. Yesterday my family and I went out for dinner for my sisters 13th birthday. Before we left I stroked the cat. He had been lying down in the same place for maybe 2-4 hours but alive and responsive, he did this a lot when he had trapped an animal(He's an outdoor cat) so I thought nothing of it.  We came back 4 hours later and as I went downstairs I saw my cat lying on its side in the corner of the room. I first said hi and he didn't respond, then as went over too him I saw that there was poo and vomit around him. I then looked closer and I saw his eyes were open and his tongue was out the side of his map. My family is very upset. We were wondering what could have happened to him and what we should do about our other cat(his brother) as he seems depressed, we now only see him at breakfast and dinner when we feed him, also whenever we try to pet him he kind of dodges it. After the other cats death he came in 2 hours after we removed the body he smelled and meowed where he last was, he then tried looking for him, it was heartbreaking :(. Does anyone have any suggestions for us, should we get another cat to keep him company, thanks.

I have four small rescue dogs.  All tend to lick their paws a lot and the youngest is constantly scratching his whole body and licking and chewing his underside and legs.
He has been to vet several times, we have put fish oil in his food, we have sprayed with anti-itch spray and have also tried a prescription for allergies from vet but still
no relief for him.  What are your thoughts on food allergy and what brands seem to
alleviate these symptons??

i found this on my dads dog today. I have no idea what it is, but to me when you zoom in the picture. It looks like she has bugs imbedded in her skin? What is this? And how do I treat it? Is it life threatening to her?
