So my cat "Red" had 3 kittens. She had 2 boys and 1 girl, and today the girl kept meowing and i was wondering what was wrong, then she couldn't walk she would just flop on the floor. So i put a rag under her and was putting some water into her mouth. About 3 to 5 minutes later she was screaming for about 30 seconds. Then right there in front of me, she just died.

What happen to her, heart attack, seizure?

Hello all!

I'm Sarah 27 years old and....I love cats.

I have been using several different electronic feeders over the years now. Good and bad ones. Throughout the years I found friends and family noticing the feeder in my apartment and asking what they are looking at. Once I explain what it is, and how it helps me and my cats in everyday life they are always interested in trying them out themselves.

Since the prices and functionality vary a lot between the different devices I would be a shame to settle for the wrong feeder for your and your cats specific needs.
Hence I wrote and compared the electronic feeders I personally used in a guide on my blog lovelylittlebeasts.com

I am asking to get your opinion and feedback on my guide. What can I improve to make the guide more understandable to interested pet owners. What piece of information is missing, that you would be interested to know?

Thanks a lot
I really appreciate any feedback!

I have just been reading some of the posts on here regarding sudden death of our feline friends which  have found comforting after reading them after losing my own cat the other day
we had been out for a few hours and my 2 cats came down for some food they had a small snack and then harvey my 13 yr old british short hair just walked towards us and keeled over and that was it he was all limp  i tried to bring him back but there was no pre warning or anything and was a very healthy cat  it was such a shock we have been heartbroken for days at the loss of him
i have since buried him in the garden and made a nice little patch for him with flowers etc so we have somewhere nice to remind us of his time with us also ordered a nice little marker stone for him    r.i.p harvey big man

My boyfriend and I adopted a 4 week old kitten from our local animal shelter. We asked where the mother was and what happened to these poor kittens. Apparently animal control picked them up from kids who had a lemonade stand and had a box full of kittens that they were giving away for free. We decided to take one home. She was full of energy and loved to cuddle. On Wensday morning I played with her, she cuddled with my and purred while I drank my coffee and she ate her food. I went to work and my boyfriend came home from work, he sent me a video of our kitty. She was playing with him and ate her dinner. My boyfriend later sent me a video of her in her little cat house and she was shaking a little, he thought she was just having a dream, but after she didn't stop he noticed blood coming out of her mouth from her biting her tounge and she was pooping and urniating herself. He called me in a frantic. He picked her up and took her to the sink to wash her off but she wasn't moving. He noticed she wasn't breathing and he tried mouth to mouth and some cpr but it didn't work. He called the animal hospital but they said it'd be too late by the time we got there. I'm still in shock and heart broken over this. It was so unexpected and I have no idea what happened. She didn't show any signs or had any change in behavior. I cried myself to sleep for the next two days. We only had her for a week but she stole my heart. If anyone has had similar situations with their young kitten please let me know if you know what could've happened my kitty, Mileena.

One day I was near my office I went to pray in mosque and after returning I found one small and very weak kitty siting in middle of road and not moving at all. It was night and dark and I was going to step on her but god willing I saw her and iam not a pet lover never had any pet in my life but seeing her condition I though of taking her home . In my country people don't have enough money to they don't bother of animal because they are worried for their our surviving. I picked her and bring to my home. Next  day I took her to vet he told me her condition not good and he started treatment of stomach infection. My question for this point was it correct because no blood test was done
? He gave some syrup for stomach infection and in 1 week she looked fine . I brought a cage for her because my family is not use to pet and had concerns initially. To get out of cage she hurt herself some time and had some dirty spots on her face. Everyone in my house felt bad so we avoided putting in her cage. But her condition deteriorate after one week again I went to vet he gave her water drip . He said Her water level is down. She never drink  of her own so with dropped or injection we used to feed water In her mouth. Also dr told she is malnutrition and gave tuna fish jefishand multi vitamin syrup. we were feeding her with meralac earlier then we gave tuna jelly for one day then someone suggest me give her  very small fish so I brought that and she loved to eat then in all 3 meals she was wanting these fish and we gave her because this for something she was eating willingly. Now since last 3 days she had problem of potty she would try hard which I observed . So today is sunday and on Friday she  gave up and exhousted my mother and wife who now loved her life anything run to another vet in hurry that vet gave her anima to loose poty 2 times also gave a syrup to loose poty but she looked very weak on Saturday I saw she is doing poty some how but was able to put out. Till evening she was able to do poty but was hard and I saw little blood on poty. she looked very weak her back legs she would not able to balance .we gave her multivitamin , Water, meralac and some time jelly fish and stopped small raw fish in this duration. But she was not improving yesterday night she did  poty but double in quantity and just laid on one place . My wife now she loved her like her daughter put her in her arms and stated crying and praying . I tried to get in touch with vets but no one was available in mid night ...she just look to our faces without any blink. But we gave her water . I also gave her antibiotic syrip which vet gave her earlier in hope she could fight . Her last moments were painful...she just went out of my wife arm by falling here and there because of weak or problem she was having. And laid flat looking at us without blink.though iam strong but  It made me cry to because I was helpless to do anything . It was clear to me now she will not survive. I gave her some abe zam zam ..holy water which my relative brought from mecca which we usually give to any one who is dying . Her breath was fast some time it get very slow but mostly fast . And she suddenly moved treabbly in her lying position she started swinging  her tail I think which was in paint Shae moved treabbly this happened 5 to 6 times in 30 min I think something internal was happening . And then she shouted in very low voice with full mouth open 3 times and her soul went away. I burried her today mor ing itself.

Now my question what happened to her which disease caused her death
What went wrong where did we lack and why vet didn't identified her problem.
Answers to these question will help me decide should I bring another strek cat from road or not because she only lived 18 days with me her age was 1.5 month.my wife loved her like her daughter
And crying since morning. So need to decide. Please reply with ur genue comments

Cat passed last night.

We had our cat for 13 years. Except the family had to watch her pass right in front of us. She suddenly seemed like she could not breathe, but she wasn't choking on anything and had her mouth open. It happened so fast we didn't know whether to try to help her by blowing air into her lungs or not because of her eye and nose related symptoms. It was late at night, her legs went straight then limp, and we feel guilty because we feel like we could have helped her if we acted sooner or tried CPR. In hindsight I'm guessing it was a heart or blood clot related death, and there was nothing that could actually be done. Her airway was definitely not obstructed, her mouth was open during the event, and she almost immediately voided and went completely still -body and eyes. People have said that most at home CPR does not have a good turn out rate, but we feel absolutely terrible for at least not trying. It was an emotional moment. Very tragic to witness. We loved her. I went through middle school, high school, and college with that cat. But it was her time, and her age and symptoms had caught up with her during a completely peaceful night.

She was part of the family. My best friend sometimes. So we buried her in the backyard on the same night after she passed. Rigor mortis set in within the first hour and she was cold and completely rigid by the end of two hours. Feeling her become cold was tough, like we could have done more in the moment. But this is what happens in life sometimes.

We cried all night. It seemed like such a harsh way of passing. And it happened so suddenly and quickly. Now, all we can do is meet again on Rainbow Bridge, make her a great memorial in the backyard, and visit and breathe outdoors whenever things get depressing indoors. It's important to learn what to do in these situations, and to find acceptance and forgiveness for what has already happened. The sad reality is that humans out-live cats, and to show as much love as you can during their life and be better educated on what to do during a crisis, or a lifetime.

Thank-you for all your support and stories. I hope this helped somebody. We will miss our cat very much...

My beloved, beautiful, full of personality, more like a dog ginger kitty died suddenly last night. The vet thinks he had heart disease.  His lungs were full of fluid and his heart was enlarged.  I've been crying most of the night and just can't believe he is gone.  He was so sweet and happy and precocious.  My house will never be the same but what a true honor to have known, loved and adored him.  Rest In Peace Flash

My cat is an indoor/outdoor cat. Nb I'm in New Zealand so.its perfectly safe for cats to be outside - no poisonous snakes or insects or wild animals.
My problem is trying to get rid of litter boxes and train him to go outside. He is 3 yrs old and was a breeding cat. Ticky is an Exotic and I've had him for a year. To start the training I bought a hooded litter box to keep outside and transition him into using the outside. After 2 days he started using it but for poop only. He still uses the I side litter box for urinating.Any suggestions why he is doing this? I don't want to takeaway the inside box as I do 12 hr shifts and don't want accidents inside. How do i train him to do everything outside.
