sudden death of my cat princess mian !
we've had her for almost nine years , september 6th 2014 : That morning she seemed perfectly fine she did her usual thing , and suddenly my mum realized princess mian was looking very fragile n mum carried her she had pooped on the floor n pied on my mum , mum knew something was wrong she never did that . mum said she was making a very strange sound like she was in pain , her tongue was hanging . she rushed her to the doc but she collapsed on the way . she had bruises on her face for a week n when my mum took her to the vet he said she was fine and nothing to worry n if the bruises don't heal after three days to bring her , her bruises seemed like it was drying but she passed away on the 4th day . i dont know why that vet said she was fine she was obviously not fine , i got to know half hour later but i couldn't b there to see her for the last time as i live in another country . i took the next flight i wanted to go spend some time next to her grave n talk to her i cried my heart out i almost wanted to open her grave and give a hug for the last time but my mum stopped me from doing that . we had to bury her in the pet cemetery cos we live in a n apartment . wish we lived in a house where we could have buried her . i've lost my baby princess main i'am heart broken i can't seem to move on , i've been taking sleeping pills every night . i feel guilty for not realizing what she must have suffered from . she's always been there for me i've shared so many happy and sad moments with her . I'ts the worst feeling ever . so i made a talisman n i put her fur into that . i am so depressed
Essentials on Shaving Pets During Summer
The heat is on!And people are exploring ways to cool and somehow reduce the heat around. Most will head off to the beach to cool down, others would strip off into less clothes and body coverings and enjoyed showing off their skin for a tone. While some enjoy trimming off hair on their heads and go bald and blunt. People will do whatever they wish to do just to get some relief from the burning feeling of the summer heat. And since people are often times accompanied by their pets on getting some summer fun, the thought of shaving their furs and hairs can make them thought it would also be better for their pets to groom for summer and shave off toshow some skin too. But hold onto that shavers and scissors tight! There are certain risks that you might just want to know about getting those hair that covers their body off them. Read on and be informed:Double coats.Dogs and cats normally have double coats of hair and fur. This was their genetic design. These coats help them to cope with varied weather conditions.Regular grooming. For breeds with natural thick coats, regular grooming could help them cope and regulate varied temperatures. No close skin shaved.Leaving some allowance of short hair on their body can help them still shield on the attacks of various skin diseases like sunburn, dirt and allergies. Get a professional pet hair groomer to do this task to avoid overly doing the clipping and avoid hurting your pets.Careful with clippers. They not only have sharp edges but improper use could only lead to some unwanted accidents.Regular coat brushing.Though many may thought brushing their pets’ coat was a way to groom them, brushing will keep their coats shiny and tangle free. Regular coat brushing is also a healthy way to massage their skin and keep their body and skin healthy and clean avoiding skin diseases brought about by dirty and embedded dust and dirt where bacteria could thrive. Coat brushing also keeps free flowing air easily into their body refreshing and cooling them leisurely.Regular bathing. The best way to cool our pets during hot summer season was to have a daily regular bath. This will condition their body to withstand summer heats. Pools and swimming adventures are great deals to have relief from the summer heat.Shaded place.Keep their special place in the house away from direct sunlight and heat.Plenty of water to drink.Always check their water bowl and fill clean, fresh often. Our pets, generally dogs and cats have a certain natural way on how to deal with varied weather conditions. They do not cool nor warmth the way we humans do. Shaving their furs and hairs do not basically improve temperature cooling down and in some instances can expose them to other health risks. Consulting and seeking the advice of your Vets would prove beneficial before trimming off their covers. We humans can cool off easily but not our pets. They will always be at our mercy for proper care in keeping them cool on hot summer days and warm on cold winter nights.

Do Indoor Cats Live Longer Than Outdoor Cats? (Film)
Hi there,I recently produced a short documentary film on indoor vs outdoor cats and addressed topics such as nutrition, health, injuries, diseases and neutering. A vet's advice (who treats 2,000 cats p.a.) is included! Eventually, he will answer the question whether indoor cats live a better and longer life than outdoor cats.http://youtu.be/uK0KEssN3SsLet me know how you keep your cats and how old and how well they are!Best wishes,Martin

Is my cat ill or grieving?
We rescued Beckham in off the streets about four years ago. He was never 100% confident around us, he seemed skittish when we showed him affection but he loves a good chin scratch and belly rub and often let's us stroke his back. But lately when we go to stroke him he moves his head back or to the sides and if we go to stroke his back, he dips down, this behaviour comes and goes, one minute he'll let us stroke him etc, the next he moves away. He has been acting strange, lying in places he doesn't normally lie and acting up. But my niebour told me today that his cat died a couple of weeks ago, around the time my cat started acting strange. My cat is an outdoors cat and we often see him roaming around my niebours house and starting fights with his cat. His cat was a female at 19 years old and my cat is a male at 12 years old. Is it possible for cats to feel emotional about the loss of another cat like we would with one another. I'm wondering is my cat showing signs of illness or grieving?
All About Dog Treats & Their Importance
For many of us, our dogs are our constant companion. They serve as our
antidote to our stress, anxiety and other burdens in our everyday lives. That
is why we took care of them like they are an integral part of us and our
family. We try everything to make them healthy like us so that they can be with
us longer and enjoy each other’s company. We took time choosing the best for
them like our own children. Taking them to the vet to check and maintain their
being. Comfort them by making them feel secured in our homes. Feed them healthy
and nutritious food to make them lean and fit so that they could move free and
active as they are. And most importantly loving them for they certainly have
been loyal and affectionate to us. As part of the process of our interaction
with them and aside from feeding them their regular meals, we give our dogs
rewards and treats for their loyalty and specifically making and bringing joy
to us. Dog treats can either come in the form of a toy or a food treat meant
for them. There are basically a lot of dog toys they enjoy and one can grab one
from anywhere. From a stick in the yard to a 'Kong' doll from a pet store. But
a great healthy alternative to treat your dogs are the so-called 'dog treats.'
Unfortunately, only a handful of those commercial dog treats are worthy on
their nutritional value needed by your dogs.
And of all those I've tried, Milkotein Dog Chews and Bites does amazing
wonders to my dog. He certainly gets to be more active, his coats gets more
shiny and bright, His alert level increases as well as his resistance from
diseases and other regular canine conditions. Much fresh smelling licks that
his regular wet food. Got stronger teeth. Maybe because Milkotein as it was
written on its label is made with the highest level of protein: 77%. It
is long lasting because my dog enjoys eating the bar for days. It is basically
as hard as a 'bone' but definitely without the risk chipping or chunking as the
dog bite. This is very important because those chips could cause choking
or indigestion that could later be fatal.
This is not about just any dog treat, but Milkotein is definitely more
than just a reward and treat to your dogs. Its a healthy habit in between their
meals and feasts that is amazingly does great nutrition for our dog buddies!
Orijen and grain free diet
I recently brought a new puppy into my home and have been hearing a lot about people wanting to feed their dog a grain free diet. I think it sounds good and all, that dogs should only eat meat and not any grains, but as humans we need grains to help provide us with energy.
The argument against feeding dogs a grain free diet is based on them not being able to digest them. But from what I have learned, dogs can actually digest grains, but only certain types.
Can anyone help clarify whether or not feeding your dog a grain free diet can actually have a positive impact on keeping them healthy?
Cat urinating outside let box
I have a anxious cat. He has to be on Prozac to function like a normal cat and it has made a tremendous improvement. He does like to Lee outside of the litter box when I leave for more than a day. He only does it once I return though not while I'm gone. Lucky I only leave a couple times a year. But the last few weeks he has been wanting to urinate on my couch. But only between the hours of 4-6am. My daily routine has not changed at all so I can't figure out why he is doing this but only between those hours in the early morning. Any idea on why this is happening?
