I lost my Bubby to sudden heart failure
Bubby: 9/9/12-9/12/15 Goodbye my boy. You will always be in my heart. You came into my life when I was all but in darkness and you brought the light back into my life. Be good up there:We cannot choose when we pass into the next life. But we can control who we share our passing's with. It happened so suddenly. In a moment my world suddenly got so much smaller. I cannot lean back and put my hands on that cold nose anymore. Instead I feel an empty table. Or those ears behind a blanket betraying a hiding spot. Just a blanket now. I can't rewind the clock and get that moment back when he collapsed, how I wish I was there to catch him instead of the cold floor that did. But I carried him in these arms and it was in these arms that he left this world. I'll see you again someday but not too soon if I do it right. Goodbye my little Bubby babe. But for all the poetic wording I ask myself if I did everything that I could? He had no symptoms and the vet tells me this really can just happen out of the blue. Couldn't I have prevented this?! I should have been there to catch him, I should have done more. This sweet little child saved me from myself, and he gave me 3 wonderful years of joy. I am a better human because of him. When it was his turn was I really listening? Now he is gone and I am broken inside. What if I could have saved him? Even now I am greatful for him for this time I had with him, that I could love something so much that I can ache like this. Oh my Bubby Baby I miss you I love you so much!!
my lil princess
Such a sad story I just have to tell it. I have 2 wonderful beautiful siamese cats, both rescued from an animal shelter. Nick was 5 when we adopted him and he would now be 10 years old. Our other cat is a 4 year old snowshoe siamese and she is adorable. Last week we adopted another beautiful little siamese cat and have been acclimating her to her new surroundings. Today I let Nick in the room, with me present, to gently introduce him to the new cat for only a few minutes. He sniffed the room, ate a bit of her food, saw her. She is timid and went and laid down and hissed at him. He hissed back and I gave them a few minutes together and then separated them. Nick was a bit perturbed leaving the room but seemed ok. He positioned himself on my bed, his usual daytime spot. Later in the day I went upstairs to check on the new cat in her room and noted Nick lying on the bed. When I went over he was gone! He had just died in bed and looked like he was just sleeping. I am still in shock about it . He, in fact, had a Vet appointment tomorrow morning for his annual check up. I don't know what to say or do. It is hearbreaking and unfathomable to us.I can only say my prayers for him, hope that he did not suffer any pain and will rest in peace. Thank you for listening.Devastated in Maine.
hi my name is bomber I am a Staffordshire bull terrier and I am a big softie, I am six year old and my mammy rescued me when I was eighteen month old, I love my mammy and daddy very much and I am spoilt rotten, but I am usually a good boy, but I do have my moments specially when I am told to get in I run around so my mammy cant catch me, I love that game, but I do have one fault when I am passing a gate with a dog on the other side and it barks at me I bark back very loudly, and I do sound ferocious but its all a game as I do wag my tail when I doing it,but mammy tells me off as I nearly pull her arm off sorry mammy xx
attitude and temper
The Dog Robber video is so hilarious!
Kitty with thymoma
My 15-year old cat has been diagnosed with a thymoma, a non-malignant tumor of the thymus for which the suggested treatment is highly invasive surgery (opening up of the sternum and ribcage to remove the tumor, which is pressing against the lungs). I am trying to find someone whose senior cat has had this surgery. It seems to me that the recovery and the many possible complications may cause more pain and suffering than palliative care, but I don't know anyone who has had a personal experience with the procedure and its aftermath.
Dog bleeding from rectum
my dog recently started bleeding from his rectum after taking a number "two". Has anyone else had to deal with this before? My vet said that we had him on diet that was too high in protein, and to put him on a hypoallergenic blend. It has been a week and there has not been any improvement. Just wanted to know if someone else could share their experience if the same?
