Can anyone offer suggestions on how to stop my 1 yr. old neutered male from urinating on/in everything except the litter box??  He and his 2 littermates have been with me since birth, mother killed, and he's an extremely loving cat.  He just urinates everywhere!!  I've tried the feliway products and they do not work with him.  Anyone tried the Bach Rescue remedy?  HELP!!  jo

Behavior training in cats has always been a challenge. One thing to do is to try and remove the sent in the areas of the house that he has already marked. I forget the name of the product I use, but they can be found at just about any pet store.

The next is to teach your male cat that the inside of the house is NOT his place to mark. I know it may not sound nice, but a water bottle that squirts can be a useful tool. The most important thing is catch them in the act, and to never discipline after the fact. He will soon learn that inside marking will get him a squirt in the face.

Thank you for the suggestions.
We use a water spray bottle for unwanted behavior, but catching the male urinating is probably not gonna happen.
We have 12 cats... all but 2 are rescue and/or just dropped on our doorstep.  Controlling behavior of this many is a full time job... but one I cherish and love.
I've been using the Bach Rescue remedy in the water bowls and the urinating has reduced to a couple of times a week.
Although still not acceptable, I will continue to tackle this problem.
Thanks for any input from the beautiful Feline community.
