If you have a cat that plays rough, chances are that your cat is getting some type of reward for this type of behavior. This reward can be in the form of attention from you, interaction with other members in the household, attention from other pets, and even dominance over pets.
Rough crazy little kittens are a joy to watch. However if their rough behavior is encouraged, they can grow into rough out of control cats. Cats that play rough do not mean to cause harm, but their out of control behavior can cause bite wounds and scratches on other animals, and persons, in the household.
